Who Are We and What Are We Doing!
THE GOAL: For people to pledge the number of miles they’ll run by December 12th 2012, and to raise $1 for every mile they run, which will be donated to The American Cancer Society. THE STORY: On June 10th 2011, I learned that my mother, Anne Hatkoff, had been diagnosed with Stage 4 Lung Carcinoma. That day, I decided to fight this disease with her, and We Ran For Anne was born. We’re a non-profit website dedicated to bringing an end to this devastating disease, and on 12/12/11 - her birthday - our mission begins. One year later, on 12/12/12, we will be donating every penny raised to The American Cancer Society in her name.
